Delan Associates, Inc. is seeking qualified candidates for a Principal Process / Mechanical Engineer opportunity to support an Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) project.
Location: Arnold AFB – Tullahoma, TN
Job Title: Principal Process / Mechanical Engineer
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical direction to assigned engineers
- Conduct construction document reviews as required
- Plan, organize, and coordinate process/mechanical engineering and multi-disciplined team/design projects while engaged in the planning, design and construction phases of engineering projects including project startup
- Prepare and review calculations and specifications relating to P&ID development.
- Demonstrate design experience in areas such as, but not limited to mechanical systems and equipment design
- Generate and review the accuracy of design/evaluation calculations, and specifications
- Familiarity with computer aided drafting applications is required
Basic Job Requirements
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Bachelor of Science in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 15 years’ experience (nuclear preferred) in design, estimating, specification preparation, construction document preparation, and related phases of engineering
- Must have a working knowledge of Federal (including Department of Energy Orders), State, and Local codes and standards applicable to mechanical engineering design
- Professional Engineer License preferred but not required
